Castlebar Mitchels Hurling Club held their presentation night in An Sportlann Castlebar on Sunday night last, 16 Nov 2008. In front of a large gathering of parents and children, Championship and Suck Valley League medals were presented to the victorious under 12 team and under 16 B team.

The Pete Finnerty Trophy for the under 12 player of the year was awarded to Mike De Burca for his contribution and commitment throughout the year.

Chairman of the club, Ray Coy, commended the coaches at all age levels for their efforts throughout the year and all the teams for their exemplary behaviour and performances throughout the year. He encouraged more adults to get actively involved in helping to run the club. He also announced a Race Night to be held on Friday, 5 December.
