Castlebar Mitchels Hurlers  in two more county finals this weekend

After last weekends excitement with two under 16 county finals won in the space of 24 hours we are at it again and this time it’s the U12 and the minors turn.

Our U12 team will be trying to retain their title and give Castlebar an unprecedented five county finals in the last 6 years at this grade and also bring back the Dave Synott cup which is in memory of one of our greatest hurlers ever to play for the club

Throw in is at 11am in Ballyvary and the opposition are the famed Toreen so nothing taken for granted but a great game in the making

our minors play Ballyhaunis on Sunday in Ballyvary at 1pm and having last won the minor title in 2005 this team will be anxious to emulate those boys who brought our first ever minor title such as Ronan and Gerard O’Boyle, their brother Kevin is the present assistant manager  and Pat Fitzgerald whose brother Stephen is one  of this years crop, so a lot to live up to for the present team,

Throw in 1pm in Ballyvary on Sunday

Best wishes to all involved with both teams

U8 and U10 training continues at 6pm on Wednesday in Breaffy sports arena

Also - on Tuesday after schools hurling from 3pm to 4.15 in McHale park with county coach Adrian Hession for 4th 5th and 6th class pupils.
