Hurling Suck Valley U18
Castlebar 2-2 - Ballygar 0-4
Castlebar Mitchels defeated Ballygar in the 3rd round of the Suck valley game played on Sunday last in Ballygar Castlebar again played some fine hurling. They missed some easy scores and found themselves for the first time 2 points down at halftime. After half time Castlebar increased the pressure and a goal by Damian Togher put them ahead. Following a free sent in by John Cotter and flicked to the back of the net by Luke McGrath to put Castlebar in control, Luke increased the lead with a well taken point and then - the score of the match, a clearance by the backline fielded brilliantly by Damian McHale flicked on to John Cotter who drove it over the bar to finish off the game as a contest. Ballygar tried hard but the Castlebar defence held solid for a 3rd consecutive and well deserved victory.

U8 & U10 6pm to 7pm on Wednesday evening in Breaffy Sports Arena
U14 6pm-7pm on Thursday evening in Castlebar
U16 7.00pm to 8.00pm on Thursday evening in Castlebar
U18 8pm to 9pm on Thursday evening in Castlebar
Suck Valley League will continue next weekend when U14 and U18 take on Padraig Pearses, Roscommon, in Roscommon. The bus leaves at 11.30am. You can follow the progress of all our teams on www.suckvalleyleague.com
Castlebar Seniors play Toureen next Saturday in the Genfitt Cup
Training continues on Wednesday Nights at 7.30 pm at St Marys for the seniors
