U16s

Congratulations to the U16 team, who had a fine victory over Tooreen in the replay of league final last week.  Keep at it lads as the championship is the next target

U12s

Following on from the great work of their elders, the U12s had a great win on Sat in the U12 Competition.  Hard and dedication is beginning to pay off.

Senior League

The Senior league starts this Wed with an away trip to Belmullet.  Each Wed for the next five weeks there will be a game, so no excuses about lack of competitiveness.  Good luck in Belmullet.

Camogie

The Camogie scene is hotting up with a strong team this year.  A game against Moycullen is the first of the year and now that a large number of girls from St Josephs have joined competition for places if very good.

Shane Connors, one of the coaches is leaving temporarily for the Summer and a farewell do is being arranged for 28/5/04.  Hurlers and even hurlers on the ditch will be welcome to attend and the venue and time can be had from Noreen Heston. Claire has now joined Sean Callaghan and Shane Connors in the coaching department and also plays.

For the first time ever we will have a representative from our under age representing Mayo along with all the other counties prior to the All Ireland Camogie Final this year, the lucky child will be chosen in a skills competition to be arranged.
The Camogie club are also working on getting Camogie into our National Schools in Mayo.

Brothers Pearse Camogie club in London are coming over to our Club early September for a long weekend. They will be playing our girls which will be something to look forward to.
