Senior Hurling

The seniors unfortunately came out at the wrong end of a defeat to Ballyhaunis last week. Although outscored, the Mitchels players put up a sterling performance and with the average age of the team being u20 the learning curve for these young lads is certainly going in the right direction. With the championship looming only weeks away, these performances are most heartening.

Hurling on the Green

Once again the Hurling on the Green comes to the town on 28 Jun and continues all through the Summer. Steve, Ger and Maeve hope to have a full house everyday and look forward to getting involved with the young hurlers.

Congratulations to Sarah and Kevin who tied the knot recently and celebrated in style in An Sportlann.

Lotto

Last weeks lotto proceeds went to Croi and there was a huge response.  Sincere thanks to all the sellers and particularly to the customers who supported this very worthy cause.  Incidentally the Jackpot was not won and carries over to this week ends draw on Fri night
