CASTLEBAR BACKS FIGHT AGAINST POLIO

The Rotary Club of Castlebar will be holding a Quiz Night in the Welcome Inn on Thurday 24th February 2011 at 8pm as part of the club's initiative to end the war against polio.

The initiative is part of Rotary's national Thanks for Life campaign, that will see hundreds of Rotary clubs across Great Britain and Ireland linking up with schools, businesses, organizations and individuals to hold a range of fund-raising events to raise £1 million.

Polio is a crippling, and sometimes fatal, disease and still a very harrowing reality for children in parts of Africa and Asia and threatens children everywhere. It is highly virulent and only an air flight away from Ireland.

Every €2 raised in this campaign will save ten young lives from polio.

Team's of 4 or 5 at €40 per team.

Anyone Interested in attending the Quiz Night should contact: Fred Flynn on 086-8263972
