The members of the Rotary Club of Castlebar and their friends have been busy donating their unwanted gifts, unused prizes and household items for a novel new Sale event - A Christmas Fayre. The event is the brainchild of Breda Mulroy Vice President of Rotary Castlebar and all proceeds will be donated to local charities. Items for sale include lamps, ornaments, pictures, mirrors, crystal, crockery, books, bric-a-brac, toys, sports equipment and small pieces of furniture. All items are donated and are new or nearly-new and in top class condition.

The Christmas Fayre will be held in An Sportlann (next to McHale Park) on Sunday 4th December from 2-6pm.

Supporters of the Christmas Fayre have raided their attics and under the stairs closets - many using it as an excuse to do a spring-clean in November. Vivienne Kyne a member of Rotary says ‘The Club is very happy with the response, very good quality items are being donated. People are very generous with their time and efforts and are happy to be in a position to help others coming into Christmas."

Proceeds from the event will support St Vincent de Paul in helping families and individuals that have fallen on hard times.

The Fayre will be very busy with loads of bargains, Santa (3-6pm), bottle table, tea/coffee and a cake sale. Bring the family, admission is free and there is ample free parking. No Traders.
