Mini Rugby News

Training Continues on Saturday Morning at 10.30. Parents are always welcome.

Under 13 U13s game was called off against Ballina last Saturday due to an unplayable pitch.  The game will be rescheduled at a later date.  Training on Saturday at 10:30.

Under 14

The Under 14 team faced Tuam on Saturday last and came away with 64 – 5 win. A brilliant performance from the team overall with special mention for Peter Gordon who scored his third try in three games and Jack Irwin who scored a hat trick of tries.

Next week the team are at home to Sligo on Sunday kicking off at 12 noon in Cloondeash. Players are asked to be at the dressing rooms at 11.30. Training continues on Wednesday at 7.00. The call is also out for anyone interested to help out with the team. If you are interested in helping then come out to the clubhouse on a Wednesday evening.

Under 16

The Under 16 team once again showed their class on Friday night in defeating Loughrea 5-0 under lights in Castlebar. Castlebar’s try coming from Alex Masuku. That win puts Castlebar top of the table. Training continues on Wednesday night with their next league game at the weekend. Players will be briefed at training Wednesday.

Under 20’s

The under 20 side face Tuam next weekend in the league. Could all players contact Chris Rogan immediately for details.

Firsts

The Firsts travelled to Monivea with high hopes but unfortunately came up against a clinical side with national ambitions. However this was not a bad castlebar display and with some big games to come, this league is not over by a long way. Castlebar’s try came from Danny McGing with Paul Coady kicking a penalty.

Seconds

An epic encounter was the Order of the day at Cloondeash as Gillie’s Gladiators produced the display of the day in defeating Buccaneers 32-22. Padraic Healy helped himself to two tries and the welcome return of Jayo Keane saw him scoring two more. Ronan Conway kicked three conversions and two penalties in an historic win for the seconds.

Race Night

The Club will be holding their annual; race night in Tolsters on Friday the 30th of November with first race going to post at 9pm. Horses and races are on sale from Members of the club with some excellent prizes to win.

Horses cost 50 each or you can buy a share in the horse for 20 euro. Three Shares to a horse. For more details contact Trevor on 087 – 4117787.

LOTTO

As a Result the Club lotto will not be held until the following week with a jackpot of 9,100 Euro. An ideal prize ahead of the Christmas. Tickets cost two euro and are available from club members.

International Tickets

Anyone interested in going to the Six Nations home games at Croke Park against Italy, Wales or Scotland must note that tickets will only be sold in blocks of three.
