Mini Rugby News

The Mini Teams travelled to Connemara for a Blitz and came away with some great wins on a day that was enjoyed by everybody.

Training Continues on Saturday Morning at 10.30. Parents are always welcome.

Under 13

The Under 13 team are scheduled to play Buccaneers North on Saturday next at 11pm. Players will be notified about the kick off time.

Under 14

The Under 14 team faced Sligo and were unlucky to lose 12-8. The lads gave it everything and with Peter Gordon scoring his fifth try in four games, an incredible record at any level. The lads now have a welcome break next weekend but training continues on Wednesday at 7.00. The call is also out for anyone interested to help out with the team. If you are interested in helping then come out to the clubhouse on a Wednesday evening.

Under 16

Training continues on Wednesday night with a possibility of a league game at the weekend. Players will be briefed at training Wednesday.

Under 20’s

There was no game last weekend for the under 20’s side but training continues as usual. All players contact Chris Rogan immediately for details. New players welcome.

Firsts

This weekend is planning to be one of the biggest weekends of the year as Westport travelling to Cloondeash. A call goes out to every Castlebar Supporter to come out and support the lads. The game kicks off at 2.30pm.

Seconds

Training Continues for all seconds players on Tuesday and Friday nights. Next up is the clash with Corinthians at Cloondeash. Should Castlebar win this vital tie, the scene will be set for a very exciting second half of the season.

Race Night

The Club will be holding their annual; race night in Tolsters on Friday the 30th of November with first race going to post at 9pm. Horses and races are on sale from Members of the club with some excellent prizes to win.

Horses cost 50 each or you can buy a share in the horse for 20 euro. Three Shares to a horse. For more details contact Trevor on 087 – 4117787.

LOTTO

As a Result the Club lotto will not be held until the following week with a jackpot of 9,100 Euro. An ideal prize ahead of the Christmas. Tickets cost two euro and are available from club members.

International Tickets

Anyone interested in going to the Six Nations home games at Croke Park against Italy, Wales or Scotland must note that tickets will only be sold in blocks of three. I.E tickets cannot be bought for individual games as dictated by the IRFU Regulations or 2007. All Enquires on Shane McElwee on shane@castlebarrfc.com
