Firsts

The firsts finish their league season on Sunday next in Cloondeash when they take on Sligo in the junior league. This game has a very serious effect on where the league goes for 2005/2006 as should Sligo win and get the bonus point, they may win the league depending on Westport’s game on Wednesday night. Next Sunday’s game kicks off at 3pm.

Seconds

The seconds were due to play in the mayo seconds league semi final on Friday night. However, this has been postponed due to the state of the pitch. An announcement of the refixture will be announced at a later date.

Mini Rugby

The Mini’s were back in action on Saturday when they travelled to Ballina to take part in a mini blitz. It was a fantastic day with some excellent rugby played as we had success in all age groups. Everyone enjoyed the day immensely and well done to all coaches for a job well done.

Connacht Blitz off

Sadly the pitch conditions means that the Under 8 and Under 9 Connacht blitz scheduled for next Saturday is off. They will be played at a later date.

Dress Dance

Due to a clash of dates, the Dress Dance has now been moved back a week to Friday 28th April, in the clubhouse.

Lotto:

This month is allocated to Greg Barry’s team. The draw will take place in Johnny McHale’s on 31st March. The jackpot is currently ?7,200. All players and team members are asked and encouraged to attend and assist in the ticket sales as it is coming to the end of the season.

Good Luck Darren

Castlebar RFC wish Darren Claasen the very best of luck as he moves on to other things. Darren has been an outstanding servant to the club throughout his two years with Castlebar and we wish him well in what ever he decides to do. There is a good chance he could be wearing the green of Connacht very shortly so watch this space!
