Mini Rugby News

The Under 7,8 and 9 teams are on the road this weekend as they travel to Ballina for a blitz while Castlebar Hosts a blitz for under 10, 11 and 12 against Ballina, Sligo and Galwegians. All under 7, 8 and 9 players are asked to be at the Library at 9.30am. under 10,11 and 12 players are asked to be at the clubhouse at 10.30am.

Under 13

U13 play Ballina on Saturday in the U13 Challenge League.   Game is in Ballina and is the rescheduled game that was postponed 4 weeks ago due to bad weather.  Meet at the library at 10:00 and return at 2:15.
Under 14

Training continues on Wednesday at 7.00. Next Saturday the team travel to Creggs with a kick off time of 12 noon. All players are asked to be at the library at 10am.

The call is also out for anyone interested to help out with the team. If you are interested in helping then come out to the clubhouse on a Wednesday evening.

Under 16

Training continues on Wednesday night with a possibility of a league game at the weekend. Players will be briefed at training Wednesday.

Under 20’s

There was no game last weekend for the under 20’s side but training continues as usual. All players contact Chris Rogan immediately for details. New players welcome.

Firsts

Last Sunday was disappointing with the referee calling off the game just a few seconds into the game. But never mind. Next up is Tuam away on Sunday with a kick off time of 2.30. Training continues on Tuesday and FRIDAY nights.

Seconds

Training Continues for all seconds players on Tuesday and Friday nights. Next up is the clash with Corinthians at Cloondeash. Should Castlebar win this vital tie, the scene will be set for a very exciting second half of the season.

Race Night

The Club would like to thank everyone who sold horses, sponsored races and took part in our race night in Tolsters on Friday night. A special thanks as always to Gerry Tolster for looking after us so well as always. Congratulations to all our winners and to those who didn’t, don’t worry, the money raised goes to a very good cause.

The list of winners will be published next week.

LOTTO

As a Result the Club lotto will not be held until this Friday night with a jackpot of 9,100 Euro. The draw to be held in Ray’s. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in the fun. You never know who you might meet. An ideal prize ahead of the Christmas. Tickets cost two euro and are available from club members.

Referees

An Associate Referee’s course will take place on Wednesday night from 7-8.45 in the clubhouse. It is recommended that all coaches attend and anyone else interested are welcome.

International Tickets

Anyone interested in going to the Six Nations home games at Croke Park against Italy, Wales or Scotland must note that tickets will only be sold in blocks of three. I.E tickets cannot be bought for individual games as dictated by the IRFU Regulations or 2007. All Enquires on Shane McElwee on shane@castlebarrfc.com
