Castlebar set up a District league playoff spot with Westport after defeating Ballina in Cloondeash by 24-22. Conditions were excellent for rugby with a slight breeze blowing across the pitch. Despite a tough clash it now sets the scene for a tie with Westport next week which will decided who makes the semi finals.
