Mini Rugby - Under 11

Castlebar’s under 11 side travelled to Monivea for the Connacht Blitz on Saturday last. Led by Jimmy Touhy and Ber Kennedy. Played on the GAA pitch, which must have been an unusual situation. Ten teams played on five pitches. Using all their squad Castlebar made the final of the plate losing by a golden try to Sligo A. the display was fantastic by a bunch of lads who gave all for their clubs and each other. Monivea won the cup itself coming from the same group as Castlebar and in doing so knocked Castlebar out of the cup competition. A true display of sportsmanship by all players. The club are proud of their achievements. This is a good marker for the future of the club.

The Castlebar RFC dinner will not be going ahead on the 14^th of may and will be rescheduled for later in the year. This year’s dinner plans to be extra special with the chance for former players to get in touch once again and many more surprises. There will be more on this later in the year.

The Monthly Club Lotto will be held in Rays, Castle St Castlebar on Friday night next with a jackpot of 4,000 euro. It is important that all sellers are out this Friday night. All are welcome to join in on what is always an entertaining and fun night.

Annual General Meeting
The A.G.M. of Castlebar RFC will be held on Wednesday 26th May at 8.00 in the Clubhouse at Cloondeash. All members are asked to attend
