Firsts

The firsts faced Creggs on Sunday last but were in serious trouble before the start with many players out through injury. In the end we had to give second best to a team determined to impress ahead of their Cawley Cup final. The final score was 20-15 to Creggs. Castlebar’s scores coming from Darren Claasen with two tries and a conversion and Robbie Cusack with a penalty. This was a weakened team and with next weekend now gaining added importance all Castlebar fans are asked to come out for the final game of the season against Corrib in Cloondeash at 3pm. If we win we will officially be in the top sixteen in the country and qualify for the All Ireland Junior Cup.

Ladies

Training continues on Wednesday evenings and all players travelling are asked to be at the courthouse at half six. New players are always welcome as the team continue their preparations. Contact Nicola for more details.

Training continues on Tuesday and Friday for the under 18 team at 7pm. There are some big games ahead of this talented team so all players are asked to attend and be on time! Training continues for the under 16 and 14 teams on Wednesday with the bus leaving the Courthouse at 6.30.

The under 18 team are travelling to wales over easter. Details will be finalised over the next couple of weeks.

All teams must be at the pitch for a very important training session this Saturday especially the under 10 and under 11 teams who have a very important match coming up. We still have some blitzes coming up so all players are asked to be at the pitch at 10.45am. it is important that all players are here.
