The Under 18 team were on tour over the weekend when they were in Wales Under 18s in Wales beat Maasetg 15-10 but unfortunately the game with the exiles could not go ahead. However the team went through some tough training sessions on the weekend. There is a full report in this week’s Connacht Telegraph.

The under 18 team’s long awaited cup match away to Gort finally goes ahead either this Wednesday or Thursday evening with a kick-off time of 6pm. However at the time of writing this has yet to be confirmed but this will be announced on MWR and CRC when the news is available.

Mini Rugby

Castlebar’s mini rugby players are currently winding down their very busy season but we have some big blitzes coming up for the under 8’s, under 9’s and under 10 teams. We also will be having our end of season party and presentation day shortly so all players will be notified about this.

The Oldies Return

The Senior (!) members of Castlebar RFC will be dusting off the cobwebs from their boots and shorts and whatever else to take to the pitch on Thursday evening to take on a travelling team from Reading. This is a great opportunity for a bit of fun and some good crack and everyone over a certain age (see the Organiser Robbie Carson for more details) are invited to tog out and be part of a good night’s fun. The game kicks off at 6.30 with the players invited to gather anytime around six. There are many rumours about who will be togging on the evening but anything is possible! All supporters are also asked to come out and take part in the fun.
