Castlebar RFC Underage Starts Again

The long-awaited rugby season is here again, and the coaches at Castlebar RFC are putting out the call for new members. In this year of the Rugby World Cup, come along to Castlebar RFC and learn from our IRFU qualified coaches.

The emphasis is on safety and enjoyment, and the rugby is fantastic.

The mini rugby (U- 8’s, U-10’s, U-12’S and U-13’s) starts on Sat Sept 8th at 10.30 – on the pitch. For further details contact Mick Hastings on 086-8261155.

U-14/16/18’s will all start on Wednesday 5th Sept at 7.00. For further details contact Simon Shevlin on 087-6656362

All volunteers (parents, etc.) are also very welcome. See you there!!!

Firsts

The Firsts got their District league off to a winning start on Sunday last when they defeated Ballyhaunis 11-3 in their opening game of the season. Paul Yuen scored a excellent try on his debut with Robbie Cusack adding two penalties.

The Team face Tullamore on Saturday next at Cloondeash with a kick off time of 4pm. This plans to be a great game against the former Leinster Provincial towns cup finalists. Their next weekend in the District League with their second game against Ballinrobe on the 16th of September.
