Castlebar Ladies open day

The ladies of Castlebar RFC have been in training only a week and already plans are afoot for their open day that takes place next Sunday, starting at 1pm. This is an historic time for the girls, who will play in division 3 north of the AIL. And it will be a challenge, as many of the girls had not played rugby before joining the club. In the space of one short year, their skill levels have grown beyond belief, and attendance at even their training sessions have grown. Next Sunday is an opportunity for the public to see what the club is about, and given that it ties in with the opening Connacht junior league game of the season against Loughrea, means that it will be a fun day out. The players will give an exhibition at 1, and there will be games and fun for all the family. Everyone is invited and also to remind you that the girls play their first game of the season on the 4th of October against Enniskillen. Training continues on Wednesday nights at 7pm.
