Firsts News

Castlebar went out on Sunday last hoping to amend their defeat a week previously with a win against Ballinrobe last Sunday. However it was not to be as they were beaten 11-6. In what was a scrappy game, Castlebar’s points all came from the boot of Robbie Cusack. Next up is a very important game against Corinthians in Cloondeash on Sunday. It would be great if as much support as possible turned out in a game that could have a distinct bearing on Castlebar’s season.

Seconds News

The seconds team is now up and running and will be playing in the league shortly. All players interested are asked to attend training on Thursday night at 7.30, as it is important that all players are out as soon as possible. A call has also gone out to third level students who are not playing rugby with their own clubs this season to come out and be part of the club. Training continues in Cloondeash and further information is available from any member of the committee.

Ladies News

Castlebar’s Ladies see action once again next weekend when they travel to Armagh to take on the home side in the AIL Division three north. After their opening game a couple of weeks ago Castlebar will be going all out for a win this weekend, but will be wary of a strong Armagh team. The team will be notified of all travel arrangements at training tonight (Wednesday) at 7pm. The bus leaves the courthouse at the usual time.
