From Castlebar - County Mayo - Clubbing Dig out your old cuban shirts. For on the 29th July the West of Ireland town of Castlebar is host to The Hairy Ball, Fancy Dress night. Superman, Batman, Cinderella who knows who will be there on the night, Entertainment is provided by SOULFOOD, a well known Westport band that are known to get your flaps and gaps moving and grooving to Funk soul melodies (5 piece), watch out for the sax player and the female vocals that will leave you with the thoughts "man they're good" DJ Tosh will bring us to the Hip Hop Shop, keeping it real with the big bass sound. I've seen the Tosh doing MC at a gig before, what treats are in store for us... See you all in the RUBY room in the TF Royal on the 29th July The Hairy Ball name comes from a Theorem that equates that vector lines drawing as tangents on a sphere will never have their extremities touching one another ?
