Castlebar Bulletin Board

Ah the Castlebar Bulletin Board. A few years ago if someone suggested to me I would become a regular contributor on the Internet, I would have thought not me! Then I stumbled across this great bulletin board, and was shy at first testing the waters but not any more. This site is fabulous for dialogue, debate, and fun. I have learned so much in a different way from this board. I have made friends; yes our door is open to visitors who want to visit Colorado! Yes I have lost my temper on several occasions, I have taken posts way too seriously, I have stirred the pot a bit to get a debate going, and I have laughed at my own dumb posts. I have changed some of my views by what others have said. This forum is such an excellent place to exchange views, share knowledge, be silly, and it is very safe in that most of the discussions can be left on the BB as opposed to getting into a debate with family and friends close by you where tempers can flare. In personal emotional relationships sometimes having an honest exchange of ideas and debates is much more difficult to achieve.

The BB can keep the mind going, instead of a crossword puzzle, exchange views. My world has definitely grown, that is great! I am an extremely busy person with lots going on in my life, for goodness sakes, we have children, it is never ending. I find TV at times absolutely mind numbing and it is difficult with several interruptions (our house is like Grand Central Station) for me to sit down a read a book, unless I lock myself in a room, I read right before bed. For me the BB is easy, it is like playing scrabble, puzzle pieces, or chess, in the sense if those items are left out on a table, you can walk by, do a word, if it has been sitting and it is your turn, the same with chess or a puzzle, walk by if you see something do it and go on. I spend most of the time while responding on the BB with several interruptions, if not by kids, dogs, loving husband, phone, door, you name it. Even if I did not have all going on in my life, how great for those whose lives by choice or circumstances have left them isolated, what a great outlet and connection with people. I have a dear friend that from a diving accident over twenty years ago was traumatically injured and has been paralyzed pretty much from the neck down, but can use a computer, how great to have such an outlet such as this BB. Also for me especially right now for a variety of reasons I have nights I do not sleep at all, like tonight so I write. Whatever the reason people contribute to the BB it is great! Very unique! A lot of very good, intelligent, and fun people contribute. ! Thank you everyone for the opportunity to share in this forum as the BB! I do not need to get a life, I have one and the BB for now is part of my life!
