THREE TIMES BETTER FOR MAYO PINK RIBBON!

The annual Mayo Pink Ribbon Cycle, led by An Taoiseach Enda Kenny, will take place on Saturday May 5th. This year, much to the delight of bike owners everywhere, participants will have a choice of not one but three cycle routes! While the traditional 100km route is very popular and is expected to draw the greatest interest, other options have now been added. For those who really want to cycle but are daunted by the challenge, the new 50km route should appeal, while for the whizz kids and the more seasoned cyclists among us 160km will be a fine test of stamina. Between Mini Mayo (50km), Major Mayo (100km), and Mighty Mayo (160km)

This event, which draws participants from Mayo and further afield, is already a most popular entry in cycling diaries. The route brings cyclists through much of the county and unites communities in a one day fundraising blitz for a cause close to the hearts of so many people. Every town, every village and every neighbourhood has at some stage been touched by breast cancer and this cycle gives those communities an opportunity to do something tangible about it. Research into this disease is the key to saving lives and Mayo Pink Ribbon is passionate about the need for breast cancer research. All money raised by the organisation goes to supporting the amazing work being done in the West of Ireland to develop better treatments for all forms of this disease.

If you are interested in participating in what promises to be a most enjoyable, fun and challenging event then Mayo Pink Ribbon would like to hear from you. Email: info@mayopinkribbon.ie, phone: 086 8562423, or visit www.mayopinkribbon.ie for details.
