By Michael Baynes
22, Oct 2017 - 11:14

Friends and former clubmates of Ollie Roache are holding a nostalgia night in his honour to support the charity, ÁIRC. On Saturday night, October 28th. Áirc is a non-profit charity organisation which aims to provide various support to the families of children with disabilities in Mayo. They cover ALL children with disabilities, from the very mild to the profound. Our help is accessible to any family in Mayo that has a child (aged 0-18yrs) with a disability (funding and resources permitting).

Phase will take the stage in the Fáilte Suite of the Ivy Tower Hotel, Castlebar and a disco will follow with Ollie's neighbour as DJ, Philip Redmond. The event is being promoted by Castlebar Boxing Club and Castlebar Celtic and all proceeds go directly to the charity. It will be a great "auld stock" night and the organisers are asking everyone to join them and remenisce about the discos and music gigs of old. Tickets are just €10 and availabale from the Boxing Club (Myles Cresham), Celtic (Greg Whyte), ÁIRC (Dave O Malley) Fergus Beirne (Bridge St) and the Tourist Office. Put this date in your diary and make the October Bank Holiday a really special weekend and support ÁIRC. Thanks to the performers, the Ivy Tower Hotel, Damien Cashin, Ger Staunton and all our media partners.
