PICT0009_edited_1.JPG
Some of the people viewing Rolling Sun.

The Boheh Stone Walk was organised by The Croagh Patrick Heritage Trail to mark the Spring Equinox April 18th, when the unique phenonom of "the rolling sun " occurs.

In the photos are some of the crowd who turned up to witness rolling sun phenomenon at Boheh with Pat Mc Loughlin and Leo Morahan, Archaeologists on hand to explain its significance.

We were lucky that cloud cleared for a short while to allow us see rolling stone phenomenon at Boheh, Brackloon, Westport, County Mayo.

Also spotted along hedgerows St. Patrick's Cabbage (Cabáiste mhadra rua) a member of the saxifrage family that occurs almost exclusively in stony areas in counties along the western seaboard. No longer found in Britain or continental Europe
