Befriending Volunteers required for Mayo General Hospital

Mayo General Hospital is embarking on a new and exciting venture. The hospital is developing a new Befriending Volunteer Service.

For some patients being in hospital can be a lonely and worrying time. Mayo General Hospital are setting up the  Befriending Volunteer Service, where volunteers will visit patients to have a friendly chat, play cards etc. in order to enhance patients' experience of being in hospital. This Service will run in the afternoon and evening and complete flexibility around time commitment will be assured.

If the above role interests you, we would be delighted to hear from you. Training and support will be provided.

Proposed Service requirement. - 1-2 Hours a week. It is hoped that the service would be available 7 days a week.
