Brenda Murphy to join A-Z Children's Charity in Uganda

On the 30th of June this year Brenda Murphy will be heading to Uganda where she will spend three weeks volunteering for the A-Z Children's Charity. It will be an intense three weeks during which Brenda will spend four days a week teaching in a local school, one day a week on a building project and one evening a week in an orphanage. Brenda hopes that her presence will bring some benefit and enjoyment to the children she works with and also help to improve the quality of their lives.

To achieve her goal of helping these children she needs to raise €2,000! As part of her fund-raising effort there will be a Fund-Raising Coffee Morning in the Linenhall Coffee Shop on Saturday March 12th from 10.30 to 12.30.

As she has already paid for her flights personally, all of the money she raises will go directly to the charity, contributing to the running of the following projects among others:

- The Children's HIV Community Project
- The Peer Education Project
- The Kasengejje Children's Centre Project
- The Sponsorship Programme
- The A-Z Children's Community Library
