Clogher Field Trip

Clogher Environmenal Group invite you a Guided Archaeological Field Trip in Clogher on Sunday October 19th 2014 commencing at 11a.m.

Meeting place Clogher Heritage Centre, Clogher, Claremorris ( just 3 miles from Ballintubber Abbey.)

Among the sites visited will be:

1. A dolmen used as a mass rock in penal times
2. The ruin of Clogher House
3. Drum ecclesiastical enclosure and cemetery (C12th century cross inscribes stone).
4. Tobermacduach - the Holy Well
5. Milestone - Thomastown, Clogher
6. Donamona Castle.

There will be an opportunity to visit Clogher Heritage Centre & Blacksmith's Forge afterwards where we will have tea and light refreshments.

There will be a nominal charge of € 5.00 to cover expenses.
