Dear Sir/Madam,

My Name is Eoin Heverin of the Irish House Bar, Castlebar.
dreadlock cut
BIG Chop for charity

I've had a full head of dreadlocks for the last 10 years and on the 24th of July I am cutting them all off in a bid to raise as much money for charity as I can.

ALL the money I raise will go to two local and very worthy charities; "Mayo Cancer support association" and "Western Alzheimer's"

On 24th July I will be cutting off all my dreadlocks, doing a challenging 60km cycle which will lead me to Croagh Patrick, Then I am straight off the bike to begin my ascent of the reek, then upon reaching the top I will be shearing my remaining locks.

I am approaching all of Mayo's well established businesses looking for each to sponsor a dreadlock (aiming to get between €50 to €100 a lock) and was hoping that your business would be able to offer sponsorship of a dreadlock for these local charities.

What does our business get out of sponsoring these local charities?

1. Every business that sponsors a dreadlock will get mentioned "live" on Mid-West-Radio on the prime "lunch box" slot. And also mentioned "Live" on CRC FM

2. There will be a list of all the business's who sponsor the charities in the Local Newspapers

3. We can provide for a "Professional" presentation photograph to be taken at your business premises, and you will be supplied (emailed) with digital copies of the photographs afterwards

4. Your business will also be mentioned in a write up that will appear on the front page of the Castlebar website (which got 3.4 Million "hits" in May2010
alone)

I have also had press releases in The Connaught Tellegraph, The Western People, The Mayo News and The Mayo advertiser, to date.

Mid-West-radio and CRC FM have been great, and as mentioned above, they have kindly agreed to mention all the business's who sponsor these local charities "Live" on prime time radio.

i102104 radio station will broadcast details about my fundraiser as well. So there will be a lot of awareness around Mayo regards this event.

Kind regards

Eoin Heverin
