Keeping our young people safe on the Internet.
Information technology can be a great gift but it also poses many dangers to our children. A short free programme on how parents and teachers can help to keep children safe on the internet will be given by Caroline Sweeney on Monday 2nd February in the Mayo Education Centre (beside GMIT) starting at 7pm. Caroline is a teacher and also a tutor of the National Centre for Technology in Education.
Suicide Bereavement Support Group
A support group for adults affected by the death of a loved one through suicide will commence on Tuesday 3rd February at 8 pm in the Family Centre, Chapel St., Castlebar. The group will run over six weeks and it will be facilitated by two Family Centre counsellors who will provide a safe confidential space for those attending. Contact must be made with the Family Centre before the programme starts on 094 90 25900.
Learn to Relax and Enjoy Life.

You can choose to attend a course from either 6 pm - 8 pm or from 8.30 p.m. - 10.30 p.m. The course is being held in the Family Centre, Chapel St. Castlebar and is led by Derval Dunford and Ann Caulfield.
