Suicide Bereavement Support Group
A support group for adults affected by the death of a loved one through suicide will commence on Tuesday 4th February at 8 pm in the Family Centre, Chapel St., Castlebar. The group will run over six weeks and it will be facilitated by two Family Centre counsellors who will provide a safe confidential space for those attending. Contact must be made with the Family Centre before the programme starts on 094 90 25900.


Enneagram Part 1
Learn about yourself and different personality types in this enjoyable four evening course starting on Thursday February 6th at 8 p.m in the Family Centre, Chapel St., Castlebar. Presenter Fr. Benny Mc Hale. Further information on 094 90 25900
Writing for Wellbeing.

Expressing yourself in writing has profound positive effects on mental and physical wellbeing and it is enjoyable, free and available anytime. Patricia Mc Adoo is author of the well known book "Writing for Wellbeing" and she is presenting a one day seminar to help people use this wonderful resource to improve their quality of life. It is taking place on Saturday 8th February at 10.30 am in the Family Centre, Chapel St., Castlebar Tel. 094 90 25900.

Build up your confidence
Many of us are reluctant to stand up for ourselves when we need to. We may be fearful that other people won't like us as much if we are assertive or speak our minds. We may believe that our opinions are not as important as those of other people. If you would like to improve your confidence, communication and assertiveness skills in a safe supportive environment then you might be interested in attending a six week course in the Family Centre, Chapel St., Castlebar which takes place for two hours on Thursday mornings, 11 am - 1 pm, starting 6th February. Learn to Relax and Enjoy Life.
Mindfulness is a practice that can teach us how to enjoy life to the full and how to relax even when there is a lot of pressure in your life. It teaches you how to make the most of every day and find contentment even in the routine of each day. This 8 week course runs on Tuesday evenings starting on 4th February next. You can choose to attend a course from either 6 pm - 8 pm or from 8.30 p.m. - 10.30 p.m. The course is being held in the Family Centre, Chapel St. Castlebar and is led by Derval Dunford and Ann Caulfield.
