Parenting a child with ADHD.

Many children with ADHD have difficulty managing their lives. Parents of these children can benefit from knowing more about how they can provide their children with practical and useful support. Educational Psychologist, Stephanie Fitzgerald, will talk with parents on how to develop practical interventions and strategies that might help their children. The talk is on Thursday Oct. 15th next at 7.30 p.m. in the Mayo Education Centre, Westport Road, Castlebar. The event is being hosted by the Family Centre and the Education centre.  The presentation is also suitable for teachers. Admission is free.

Rainbows for Children.

The programme runs for one hour one evening a week over a period of 12 weeks in total. The programme helps children to come to terms with the loss within a small group of children of a similar age to themselves. An information night for parents and guardians will take place in the Family Centre, Chapel St., Castlebar on Wed. 21st Oct. at 8 p.m. The Rainbows programme itself commences on Wednesday 4th Nov. at 7 pm.
