Islandeady Gathering 2013…Spread the Word!

An invitation is extended to anyone who once lived in Islandeady and to anyone with an ancestral link to the area.  Did you go to school in Islandeady?  Did you live in, or emigrate from Islandeady? Do you know an Islandeady person who is far from their parish right now?

If so, we have an exciting 'gathering' weekend planned that will interest anybody with Islandeady connections.

Some of the Events on Fri 24^th to Sun 26^th May 2013 include:

Revisit your school (Cogaula, Cloggernagh, Leitir, Cornanool and Glenisland) and take a walk back memory lane and look over the roll-books & old school photographs.

Trace your family roots and viewing the Parish Records from Islandeady Church.

The Photographic Display - with old photographs of Islandeady and its people in the Community Centre - will feature prominently.

A Barn Dance and Social takes place in the Halfway House Islandeady.

And don't miss the 'Masters v Younglads' Football fun event!
