The 2010 edition of the Keelogues Ballyvary Magazine was launched on Friday night last in The Village Inn, Ballyvary.
Despite the poor weather conditions there was a sizeable crowd in attendance to witness the official launch which was performed by Michael Commins of Midwest Radio & The Mayo News. Michael commended the work done by the Editorial team in putting together such a publication and the wider community for supporting and contributing to its success. Vincent McHale, speaking on behalf of the Editorial Team, thanked all those who contributed material to the Magazine and he gave a special mention to the Magazine's sponsors who continue to financially support the Magazine despite the turbulent economic times we are experiencing. He also appealed for more people from the community to become involved in the project for 2011. The Magazine is a eclectic mix of history, nostalgia, local interest, sport and humourous stories along with some wonderful photos of bygone days as well as events of 2010. The Magazine is currently on sale from local outlets and at a very reasonable price of €5.00.
