LAHERDANE PRIDE OF PLACE Congratulations are extended to the community of Laherdane who have won a national title for the Trojan work undertaken in promoting Ireland's Titanic Village. The winner of Category 1, (Population less than 200) in this years "IPB Pride of Place Competition in association with Co-operation Ireland" has been announced as Lahardane, Co Mayo. Pride of Place is an all-island competition that recognises improvements by local communities in creating civic pride in their area. The competition is hosted by Co-operation Ireland under its Local Authority Programme in conjunction with the all-island Local Authority Steering Forum comprising officials from authorities in both parts of Ireland.
