The exhibition was officially launched by Fr Mícheál Mac Gréil S.J., author of the book ‘Pluralism & Diversity in Ireland'. This was followed by a workshop on Prejudices in Ireland delivered by Fr. The images and drawings on display were created by local migrants and asylum seekers from all over the world. Reflecting on migrants' experiences of poverty in their country of origin and while living in Mayo, they deliver a strong visual message on the global issue of poverty from the unique individual perspective.

Natalya Pestova from MIA said: ‘Speaking louder than words, the images seek to break down the prejudices and misconceptions concerning migrants. The exhibition is a great opportunity to witness life experiences of people living in our communities'.
