From Castlebar - County Mayo - Community Groups Mayo Peace park and Garden of Remembrance located in Castlebar has officially launched an information flyer. The flyer was launched in the Harlequin Hotel by the Mayo Person of the Year, Pat Jennings. The flyer will be distributed to hotels, guest housess and other tourist locations throughout the county. The launch was addressed by the Castlebar Town Mayor Councillor Ger Deere, the President of the Chamber of Commerce Tom Canavan, the director of Visitcastlebar.ie Declan Durcan, Michael Feeney MBE of the Peace Park and Garden of Remembrance Committee and by Pat Jennings. The flyer was designed by Declan Durcan with photographs by Noel Byrne and supported by the Harlequin Hotel. Present also at the function were local councillors, members of the Lions Club, The Mayo Emigrant Liaison Committee, the ONE, local hoteliers and guest house owners as well as the general public. The flyer is intended to fill an information gap by giving visitors some basic information about the Park and its location. It will be an integral part of the visitcastlebar.ie promotion and marketing campaign to make Castlebar a must stop for tourists and visitors.
