Mini Marathon 2011

We would like to thank all of the people who walked/jogged/ ran for Cystic Fibrosis in this year's Mini Marathon (for anyone who missed out, ye will have another chance next year!). It was a great success with over 300 running for our charity.

The money raised will be a big help in building the much needed day care unit at Mayo General Hospital. These facilities are commonplace elsewhere throughout the EU and are essential for the maintenance of CF. There are over 50 families in the region with one or more persons with CF.

We are fundraising throughout the year and with the build is due to start in the next few months, we need to work hard to achieve our goal of €1,000,000 which is the amount necessary to fund this much needed project; we have raised, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, approx. €600,000 but still have a good way to go . If you would like to take part or have any fundraising ideas please get in contact. For more information about CF, fundraising events and the build visit www.cfwest.ie.

Thanks,

Niall Abberton
