On 16th July over 300 teams from around the World will start their journey to Mongolia for the 2009 Mongol Rally whose fundraising goes towards the Blue Skies Ger Village in Ulaanbaatar. It’s a sanctuary for homeless and abandoned children. It changes the lives of kids who have found themselves in seriously difficult circumstances. This will be CNCF’s fourth year as an official charity.

The stipulation for the rally is that the car being driven there is
“a clapped out old car” which they must travel 10,000 miles over non-existent roads, coming to terms with breakdowns and possible bribery. And their challenge before they leave is to raise a minimum of £1000 for charity.

The Boys will be holding a fundraiser night in the Ruby Room in the TF Royal Hotel on Saturday 11 July. There will be a Band and prizes given out on the night. Entry is €8 and doors open at 9pm.
