Castlebar Order of Malta wins Community Care Project of the Year.

Senior Members of Castlebar Order of Malta attended the National Conference in Mullingar last weekend. Castlebar Order of Malta was presented with the John Cunningham Memorial for Community Care Project of the Year.

The project started last year and is going from strength to strength. The project is aimed at senior citizens from Castlebar and surrounding areas. The Castlebar Unit have a mini bus which picks you up and drops you home. Every second Thursday there is a social evening in the Order of Malta Building, Pavilion Road, Castlebar. Game of Cards, Entertainment and Refreshments etc.

The National Director of the Order of Malta, Comdr Winnie Maye, Presented the Award to Cpl. Laura McCluskey, Deputy Officer in Charge on behalf of the Castlebar Unit.
