The Freedom Torch will go up Croagh Patrick
In protest against the fact that the Beijing Olympics Torch is being taken through Tibet and up Chomolungma, Mt. Everest.

DATE: SATURDAY MAY 3RD.
TIME: 2.00PM OPENING CEREMONY AT THE FAMINE SHIP SCULPTURE, MURRISK
2.30PM: LIGHTING OF THE TORCH

There will be a Vigil at the foot of Croagh Patrick for peace, justice and reconciliation in Tibet and China during the climb. The Freedom Torch event will be supported by a voluntary 48-hour total Fast.
