John Giles here,

On Sunday, 27th March, the John Giles Foundation ‘Walk of Dreams' will see people from all over Ireland come together for the first time ever to celebrate the beautiful game, demonstrating the importance of football in Community life across our villages, towns and cities and to raise funds for Clubs and Communities.

At 14 centres around Ireland, we hope to get as many people as possible to walk with Airtricity League players, International players and celebrities in what promises to be a very special day for everyone involved or who wishes to support Irish Soccer. With over 2,000 Clubs from Donegal to Wexford, we are the largest team participation sport in Ireland and on Sunday, 27th March, we urge you to bring everyone you know out to walk to raise funds for Irish football Clubs and Communities. To be part of our big day, simply log onto www.johngilesfoundation.com to register and receive your sponsorship card.

You can register as an individual, a community group or a company. Community Groups are free to retain half of the money raised and companies are entitled to nominate a local football club or community group to which they can donate half of the funds raised. You are also welcome to donate all funds raised to the John Giles Foundation.

The John Giles Foundation uses football as vehicle for social change and will accept applications for funding for football based community projects from 1st May, 2011. Everyone who takes part in the John Giles Foundation ‘Walk of Dreams' will receive a certificate of completion!

If you have any queries, please feel free to call the John Giles Foundation on 01-8229636. You can also mail us at the John Giles Foundation at info@johngilesfoundation.com
