Connemara Rough Diamond Adventure Race

1st, 2nd & 3rd Padraic Marrey, Brendan Conway and Noel Gibbons.

Mayo Western Lakes team are All Ireland County adventure race champions at Connemara Rough Diamond adventure race.

2012 - Padraic Hughes, Padraic Marrey, Noel Gibbons and Brendan Conway.

The Connemara Rough Diamond Adventure Race is a mix of biking, trail & mountain running with a challenging assault course & human steeplechase right on the beach.

Course Stages:
1 - John Wayne Steeplechase (extended version) - 2 km
2 - Garraun Mountain Run - 8 km
3 - Fear Gorta Assault Course - 1 km
4 - Cycle a 40km loop back to Letterfrack (Road Bike) - 40 km
5 - Diamond Mountain + Ellis Wood Trail Run / Hike - 9 km

Total Distance: 60 km.

The 2012 race started on Lettergesh Beach in Renvyle, Co. Galway and finished in Letterfrack.
