Mayo League Round 1
The 2008 mayo league got off to a great start at the Shrah Circuit, Tourmakeady Co.Mayo on Sunday. Over 40 cyclists signed on and all age groups had good competition in this 55km Handicapped event.
First off the line were the Under-12s and Morgan Walsh Roberts Galway Bay C.C was strong to win from Shane Mulchrone, Covey Wheelers.
The Under-14 group was a fast race, scratch man Francis Sheridan, Covey Wheelers went through the field to take first place from Christopher Kennedy, Covey Wheelers
Dairmaid Hughes, Covey Wheelers was first Under-16 taking it from Brendan Scullion Western lakes.
In the senior event Paul Fahey Castlebar C.C in his first race performed well to take first place in a time of 1hr 30 from Paul Kilcourse Castlebar C.C in Second.
