Over the last number of months, a number of very passionate and enthusiastic R.E and Music teachers within the Archdiocese of Tuam have been working on a very exciting new concert called "AWAKENING".

"Awakening" is promising to be a very special concert of both modern church and contemporary music that has been described by many as Glee Club meets the X factor meets church music. The aim is to bring together the voices of over 380 young people to perform some of the most beautiful and meaningful songs to lift our spirits and raise much needed funds for Pieta House. The 300 young voices are made up of students from Athenry, Balla, Ballyhaunis, Castlebar, Dunmore, Glenamaddy, Headford, Louisburg,Tuam and Westport. The students chose to donate the proceeds of this event to Pieta House because unfortunately their generation is all to familiar with the pain and loss that suicide brings to so many homes in our country at this time.

"The hundreds of young people look forward to welcoming you on the night and joining them to sing many beautiful hymns and inspirational songs. The concert promises to be a great experience for participants and audience alike so we would really value your support for this very unique event. " Siobhan Bradley - Tuam Diocesan Youth Ministry Director.
