As a part of The Gathering 2013, we hope to hold Mayo's biggest outdoor ceili in Castlebar on Sun. June 2nd @ 7pm. Family fun night guaranteed!

After the success of last year's street festival, we are running this gig . This will be at the junction of Tucker St/Linenhall St/New Antrim St in Castlebar. The idea is to have the biggest outdoor ceili in Mayo and also include a carnival atmosphere with the lights, kids fun stuff, etc.

We have employed four traditional music groups including a seven-piece profile ceili band. We have booked John & Niall Kilkenny, Tom O Toole, The 4&9s, Trad Youth West and more.

The street will be closed off in the same way as last year and the festivities will begin at 7pm continuing until 11-30pm. A specially constructed dance floor will be laid in front of the stage and we have a group of four dancers (including world champions!) that will lead the dancing and also give a demonstration of traditional sean-nos dancing.

We encourage all to attend this event and also to help us spread the word! Bouncy castles and a rodeo bull will be there also. We also need volunteers to help on the night and you can register your interest at dancingatthecrossroadsmayo@gmail.com. Please support and spread the word.
