Lost in Kilkenny

This picture was taken in a village somewhere on the river Suir I believe, but I'm not sure because I was lost.  I do know that it's in Kilkenny, and they have opted for ribbon development of an aquatic rather than a terra firma nature.  I would agree with Mark Water's sentiments on the plague of one off housing.  It doesn’t appear to be as bad in the hurling counties.  Perhaps this is to do with the larger farm sizes.  Regardless I prefer a line of barges than a line of bungalows any day.
