1. Seedcorn Competition - Intertrade Ireland (Connor Sweeney) Tuesday 11th April from 12pm to 1.15pm

InterTradeIreland is delighted to announce the launch of the 2017 All-Island Seedcorn Investor Readiness Competition, the largest business competition for new start and early stage companies on the island of Ireland.

The competition seeks to transform equity seeking businesses into first-class investor ready companies. In addition to the total cash prize fund of €280,000, companies will have access to the Seedcorn Network - an extensive business community which will help boost the company's profile.

2. Horizon 2020 Opportunities - delivered by Helena Deane, Wednesday 26th April (11am -1pm )

Running from 2014 to 2020 with a budget of just over €70 billion, Horizon 2020 is the EU's flagship programme for research and innovation and is part of the drive to create new growth and jobs in Europe.

Horizon 2020 presents many new and exciting opportunities for SMEs, not least through the SME Instrument Programme worth €2.9 billion through which individual companies can apply for direct funding, which is equity free and non-repayable, ranging from €50,000-3,000,000, with support also being provided by means of professional coaching and networking.

3. Green Business Workshop - delivered by Ron Immink, Weds 3rd May (10am - 4pm)

This workshop is suitable for individuals who have an idea for a sustainable green technology start-up and for existing SME's who are interested in developing new sustainable products or services. (see workshop details attached).

Sustainable Nation Ireland want to highlight this as a business opportunity and the aim is to increase the awareness of the opportunities in climate change and tackle climate change through entrepreneurship.

4. Persuade on Purpose - delivered by Eric Fitzpatrick, Tuesday 25th April (6.15pm - 10pm)

Eric is the owner of ARK Speaking and Training. He speaks, coaches and trains on the subjects of Improving Performance and Communicating with impact in the areas of sales and leadership. He works with entrepreneurs, SME's and large organisations to help them craft and tell their story. Some of his clients include VHI, the HSE, Irish Life, The Tyndall Research Institute, New Ireland Assurance and Snap Printing. He is the creator of "T.R.U.E Presentations", a tool that helped one sales team win a contract worth €1,000,000 and the author of "Persuade on Purpose, How to create presentations that influence and engage" Eric is an ex-Irish International soccer player and lives in Dublin with his wife
Catherine and has two daughters, Louise and Amy.
On the 25th April he is going to deliver his "Persuade on Purpose" Masterclass and share his ideas on how Leaders can create clear compelling messages that influence and engage.
