5 Tips for Doing Business in the Middle East!

Run by Entrepreneurs for Entrepreneurs!

INC60 is a new business network for start up's focusing on entrepreneurial topics in the West. It is a fast paced, (60mins) and thought provoking session for business people. It was set up by entrepreneurs based at the GMIT Innovation Hub in Castlebar and is kindly sponsored by Lionbridge Technologies.

Next month's meeting will take place on Friday 6th June in the GMIT Innovation Hub Castlebar at the earlier time of 8.30am where Sean Davis - Regional Director with Enterprise Ireland in Middle East will give a brief pre recorded presentation on "5 Tips on Doing Business in the Middle East".

With the difficulties in many sectors of the European and US economies, many companies are looking further afield for opportunities. As many of the states in the Middle East have become more open and outward looking, there are a lot of new opportunities in countries such as Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE.

Sean Davis is the Dubai based Enterprise Ireland Regional Director for the Middle East & North Africa since taking up the post in February 2012, managing a team based in Dubai and Riyadh. Prior to taking up the post in the UAE he spent 16 years in the US, the last 4 of those years managing the Enterprise Ireland Cleantech, Industrial & Life Sciences team.

From 2002 to 2006 he was the Market Development Manager for the US and Canada with the US subsidiary of the Singaporean company Asia Pacific Breweries Ltd. He was part owner and GM of an import company in New York City from 1999 to 2001, and, part owner of a Brooklyn NY based bar/restaurant from 2001 to 2013. He spent 10 years in Ireland with the Irish retail chain Superquinn in a variety of management roles before relocating to the US in 1996. He holds a diploma in Retail Management, diploma in Marketing and has an honours degree in Business Studies.

During the 60 minute meeting, the audience is grouped to brainstorm the topic and questions will be put together for Sean who will skype in live at the end of the meeting.

Booking is advisable as places are limited and the session is FREE to attend.

The new Mayo Local Enterprise Office (LEO) is a kind supporter of INC60.

Please email our organisers today info@inc60.com to reserve your place for this new and exciting network.
