Under 10's Town and Country League.

Castlebar Mitchels had the narrowest of wins over Breaffy in a very exciting game last Wednesday evening by a scoreline of 4 - 4 to 2 - 9. Two first half goals by Cian Gibbons and a goal and a point from Donnchagh Barry saw Castlebar dominate preceedings at the interval. Breaffy started the second half strongly but an opertunist goal by James Guerin against the run of play meant Breaffy remained under pressure. To their credit they kept trying to the final whistle and were unluckly not to get a draw. The Castlebar defence of Conor Mylett Kevin Costello, David Bell, Fintan Murphy and goalie Niall Fahy did just enough to merit a win.

Credit must go to the Breaffy Bórd na nÓg for organising this league and instructing that all players play in each game.

Under 8s

The Under 8's from both clubs had an enjoyable game the same evening. Breaffy proved to be the stronger team and benefitted from having a previous game against Balla.
