Sunday March 15th
Mayo Sports Partnership are hosting a 5km Fun Walk/Run in Castlebar Town on Sunday March 15th at 3pm. Here is an opportunity for all the family to get out, get some exercise and have some fun too. You will get a chance to get some fresh air and enjoy the countryside that is right on your doorstep as well as meeting new people. The 5km walk/run starts on the Newport road beside St Gerald’s College and finishes at St Gerald College. The event is suitable to everyone. Whether you are a runner, jogger, walker or just want to bring the children for a fun walk around the town you are all welcome. After the race there will be refreshments and prize giving at the De la Salle Sports Hall adjacent to St Gerald’s College. There will be
Make Sunday March 15th a Date for your Diary. The event only costs €5.00 per person and €10.00 for an entire family. All proceeds go towards Castlebar Athletic Club who caters to the young athletes in the Castlebar Area and to Special Olympics Ireland. We would be grateful if there were people who would help out as a volunteer on the day and if possible can contact on 094-9047025. This event is open to people of all abilities. Showers are available after the race at the De la Salle Sports Hall.
