The National Adult Literacy Agency believes that adult learning starts with the needs and interests of individuals. Further education is concerned with personal development and confidence-building as well as technical skills. "In adult education we offer one-to-one tuition, small groups and larger classes from Level 1 to Level 5 on the National Qualifications Framework," Phyllis Carney, Castlebar ALO, said. "Taking the first step in coming back to learning is the most difficult and courageous move in the journey of lifelong learning."
